I had read that JD was building in Mexico. Now they are building in the US. I wonder why?

Larson Farms on You Tube had a JD combine with only 300 hours blow the bottom of the engine out, JD mechanic swapped it out in the field with a craneDeeres got at least 5 separate commercial engine builders in the United states.
Superior Diesel, Engines inc, Bell power, Flint Power, and Cascade equipment.
Might be more but those are the companies I've had direct dealings with.
Each company supplies deere engine packages for certain equipment manufacturers that I carry at work.
They also set up and supply engines for marine applications as well.
So even if they send a factory out of country, they still have a ton of employment here in the states.
I spent a few days over at Engines Inc's factory for a class on Deere's final tier 4 systems, and electrical diagnostics.
They have 5 Engines Dynos. We were occupying one of the bays for live computer diagnostic testing with the laptop.
The instructor mentioned, that they were fixing to knock out the wall between bays 5 and 4 so they could put a 1,500hp marine diesel they were working on through its paces![]()
Yeah, I was quoted over $100,000 for an engine swap locally for a customers equipment.Larson Farms on You Tube had a JD combine with only 300 hours blow the bottom of the engine out, JD mechanic swapped it out in the field with a crane
Without warranty they said would be a $100,000 bill
Yes, I think links are needed for your credibility. If you make an assertion, and someone calls you on the details, reliable links are important. No link needed. Look at the ads on TBN. Shows up on mine every day.
