What are the differences between these two backhoes (KB2365 & KB1440) other than the KB1440 has self contained hydraulics? Is there a substantial difference in price, operating speed and digging force? I haven't been able to get on the Kioti website since last Thursday to check these out. Is the KB1440 a new version as well?

Thanks Steve

Steve, Kioti makes the KB2365, KB2375 and KB2385, 6.5ft, 7.5ft, and 8.5ft respectively. I believe you're referring to a loader, an older model maybe, because now they make the KL 1450 and 1470. John

The KB1440 is Kiotis older style BH and was made by Rhino. It was and still is the same thing as a Rhino 65A BH. The model that replaced the KB1440 is the KB2365 and is made by Kioti in Korea.

Thanks for the clarification Jon. Model number changes can really confuse. Since the loaders have the 14xx numbers, I figured it was a mix up. From conversations with Kioti, I'm told that the BH is now made in Korea by another manufacturer, not Daedong. Supposedly, there was nothing wrong with the Rhinos, but the comment was, "We got a better BH made for less money." Wouldn't surprise me if they're really made by KMW as are the subframes. John

So far I still perfer the Rhino style backhoes over the Kioti. I know for sure KMW only makes the subframes on the BH.

KB2365 uses tractor hydraulics and 1440 has self contained pump, does one have any advantage over the other?

Thanks Steve

Both models can use the tractor hydraulics or PTO pump kit. What determines this is what tractor you are putting it on and what your Hyd GPM rate is. For example on the LB1914 you must use the PTO pump kit, but the new CK20's only require a hose kit.

I think maybe using the pump kit would have been a better idea for me as I don't like the contamination possibility of having to hook/unhook my BH to the tractor. I have to be so careful to keep sand and dust out of the system and we all know how hard it can be to keep good, clean conditions. A little dirt can ruin a hyd. pump. John

ordered a DK55 with the KB2385.. there appears to be 2 BHs for this tractor (the other is the KB 2375).

anyone have a BH on their 55? if so, what model and are you pleased with it, or would you rather have another unit?

i'm asking because the dealer is giving me an option to stick with the 2385 or go with another (earlier) kioti model that was manufactured in the US.

thx

Would going with the option your dealer is offering get you your tractor faster?
