Comparison Kioti CK3510 vs. Kubota L3901

Hi guys,

new to the forum here, this is my first post but I've done a lot of reading on a lot of the current posts and have found things very helpful!
I'm a newbie to the tractor market but through the research I've done on here and visiting local dealers I think I have my choices narrowed down and would appreciate any valuable input on making my final decision.

Uses: I have about 20 acres of mostly open pasture that has been neglected and getting over grown, so i am looking at a fair amount of bush hogging. Moderate amount of loader work to be done cleaning up and possibly some drainage work. I also have a gravel driveway to maintain. 1000 feet or so.

Options: My two favorites are the kioti and the kubota. I really like and have driven them both. kioti is cheaper but just wondering if the quality of both machines are comparable?

Any input would be great!

I know I am biased, but I think Kioti gives you more for the money...weight, lift capacity, standard equipment, and a better orange
Go with what feels right!

Only about a year and a half with my first Kioti and am still pleased with no problems to report.

Welcome...you have two favorites and need to pick a favorite...that can be difficult. Since you drove both which one fits you better, getting on and off ergonomics etc.? Maybe make a list side by side of tractor standard features, but you probably know this already!

You won't go wrong with either. I wouldn't be concerned about quality between the two. I might be wrong but I believe with the extra features kioti offers you a better comparison would be the grand kubota model like the L3560.

It's a minor point but I do like a flat or almost flat operator floor platform.

Had an almost identical choice to make (the two previous models), and went with Kioti, because I thought I was getting more bang for my buck with them. Over a year in and I feel certain I made the right decision. The Kioti has done everything I've asked with no problems, and I am really impressed with the quality of the tractor. Yes I have my nits (HST pedal placement the biggest), but I'm sure I would have them with the Kubota too. If I did it again, I'd go with Kioti again.

L3901 is about as apples to apples as you can get, they are both standard series tractors. The L3560 has way more features, especially in the HST+.

I sell Kubota, and most people would echo they are top of the line when it comes to quality fit and finish. The L3901 is legitimately but in the USA to boot. Of the small manufacturers, you do have to give props to Kioti. I'd consider one well before the other small players.

Both tractors are very nice and I don't think you'll go wrong either way. These tractors do spec out very similarly. Normally kioti Will take the advantage in overall weight lift capacities and features. In this comparison they are almost dead even except for the loader capacity The Kioti is rated max lift full height at the pins of 1835 pounds where as the Kubota is only 1131 pounds. Also kioti has dropped a lot of the standard features off of this line so they no longer have that advantage there either. For me lift capacity on the loader is huge so that would be a big factor but I'm a big fan of all things USA. It would be nice to see what percentage of parts on both tractors are made here in the USA. The more built made or assembled here the better so the Kubota is carrying some weight in my favor there. I would look at both of them and try out both of them & see which one fits you the best and which dealer you like the best. If it still seems like a tie see if you could get a stronger loader option on the Kubota if so then that's probably the way I would go. I was wrong. I see kioti has a value line, premium etc with all the new changes. So yes, like you said these two are about apples to apples as you can get. And I did see where standard features are different on the new model lines.

I still remember the days that Kubota was one of those "Small Manufactures". You have to make sure you remember where you came from and I'm not so sure that's the case with the for-mentioned. But I am just a gray haired old man. Guess I better get off my soap box I own both Kubota's and Kioti's and don't think you can go wrong with either.

What features did Kioti drop with the new value line tractor compared to the previous models? Also finally got some good pricing today on both and the kubota is significantly more expensive than the kioti. $18,500 for the ck3510 hst before taxes and 24,500 for the L3901 Hst before taxes. Would it really be worth the price difference since they are so comparable? Also thanks for all the input so far it has really helped.
