Look here, you'll find many manuals for your DJ45 under the manualn subdirectory (OwnerManual - OM, PartManual - PM, FieldManual - FM, etc) and the 4WD lever is probably mentionned there.
I don't believe this site was meant to be public accessible so grab them while they are there.
