You won't deadhead the pump, just sitting there it is in bypass, when you pull the lever it will pressurize the line in a brief moment and then go back to bypass. Once you shut the tractor off, the pressure will leak down eventually. I still get the logic of your post nd that is a perfectly good reason to use it. I remove my loader almost daily or at least weekly.I use it when I remove the loader so I don’t accidently recharge the unhooked lines or deadhead the hydraulic pump.
