Kioti Mechron PS cigarette lighter a usable power point?

For many hours I ran a 12v pump spraying weeds with my Ranger TM until the thing quit charging altogether. Turns out the Robin 18 hp engine had a magneto rather than an alternator, and it couldn't take the sustained use.

My 2020 Mechron PS has a proper alternator. Is it safe to use the cigarette lighter as a power source for a 25 gallon sprayer mounted in the bed? Up until now I have just tossed an old 12V battery into the back and connected with alligator clips, the way I did on the Ranger, but a permanent solution might be nice if the Kioti can generate the power for a couple of tankfuls per day as I water the garden.

Check the fuse - cig liters usually 15 amps, power ports 10 amps these are handy if you can find them

From Amazon I ordered a 15 amp plug with 5' cord which has the correct quick connectors coming off the pump. I'll give it a try when it arrives, but in the meantime I have recharged the shop battery for another summer watering the garden.

I use the cigar lighter (power port) on our Kubota Sidekick to power a bed mounted sprayer all the time with no issue.

I took your advice and dumped the spare battery and charger in favour of the cord from the power outlet on the Kioti. Daily output of water to the garden has crept up to four, 25 gallon tanks per day as a result. The hours are creeping up on the Mechron, but that is the only issue.
