Kubota BX22
Several years ago I bought a used BX22. Used rough but still in good shape. Had a little feedback when the peddle was depressed fully in high gear. After year one I change the hydraulic fluid and no change. Next fluid change I took out the screen and found a few large pieces of metal in it.
over time the feedback was worse when I asked the tractor to climb. Last year I could only used low gear. This winter I had the machine stop while moving snow.
Engine runs and pushing slightly above factor settings for hydraulic pressure. FEL and bucket work fine, just no locomotion.
Any suggestions? Some have said engine but cylinder pressure is good to standard on all cylinders. I think tranny. But it is suppose to have a bomb-proof tranny!
Thank you.

Guess there is nothing wrong with fishing for more advice than you got over at OTT... :)

Saw that too. I was going to respond yesterday, but the transmission needs to be repaired or replaced.

Figured may hit a different crowd. Few posts about the problem I have encountered so I am reaching out to all possible resources.

That was my first thought then a few people suggested it was the engine. All attachments work and the engine has good compression. So I guess it’s a trans replacement!

I didn't see it mentioned here, but did you check to make sure the linkage from the forward/reverse pedal is not loose? The nut on one end of the linkage can come loose sometimes. That would kind of exhibit the behavior you described, if it kept getting looser as it was used. Worth taking a look.
That is a known problem on some BXs.

The fact that you can tell over the years it slowly has gotten worse is more then enough info to know that your hydro is bad. But if you really wanna know check the charge pressure at the hydro and that will tell you for sure!

Did you find and fix this problem?
