The 'bota is gonna run me around 16,500. I don't have a price on the Cub yet. The specs are amazingly similar. I'm thinking the Cub may be a little cheaper. Both dealers are well established long time dealers, but the Kubota dealer is a little closer. No mower deck on either. Really want the backhoe and fel.

The Cub is 15,000 with a 5 year warranty and free first service. The Kubota dealer did say he would throw in the materials for the first service, ie fluids and filters.

Well, the Kubota is gonna run me about 16800 and the Cub is 16500. Both with 0% for 60 months. I have put 1000 down on the Cub for the financing.

No word yet from the local Massey dealer. Seems he can't find a GC series. My local JD dealer seemed to concerned about the tax to even get around to giving me a price. The other one I call simply said "no" when I stated my requirements.

The Cub dealer is also a Kioti dealer and he is trying to get me a CK 20S for the same money. But the Kioti doesn't have the HST.

The Cub looks like the better tractor. Although I don't care for MTD as a company, the Cub still offers more power in a slightly larger package. And there's no doubt that Yanmar has the history and a pretty good reputation for building quality tractors. I have to wonder however, what MTD has specified regarding corner cutting cost saving measures.

At this point, I would say the Kubota still looks to be on top. I think the dealer will come off a couple of hundred to match the Cub, or make it up another way. And then there's that resale value for the Kubota.

John Deere had to delay the delivery of their new 1023/1026, so that may be the reason for the delay on their part.

I would not worry about the quality of the CC, but resale may be an issue.

I am not familiar with the MF.

I have the CC/Yanmar Sc2450, I really like it have no problems at all. I also looked at the Bx25, my dealer sells both so it way easy to compare, sit on one then go to the other. I liked the FEL control better on the Cub it is on the side of the fender and I liked the shift on the go from low to high or high to low.

I purchased the SC2450 because of what was offered for 16k.
Both Oranges and Green did not include the BH, WTF !
The guy I purchased from threw in a few extras and gave me a break on the 50hr oils and filters.
I do not believe Orange or Green can compete with CCYanmar in $$$ and Kioti thinks they are one of the biggies but they are a newbie as the CCYanmar is.
Buy a CCYanmar IMHO I do not think you will regret it, luck on your purchase...

These are my opinions from my experience in buying a tractor... the SC2450.

Big advantages of SC2450 compared to BX is dual hydraulic pumps, 5 year warranty and shift on the fly range selection. CK20S is a Compact, not subcompact, and is not in the same size class, it is available with HST or gear and with free loader will still be a little more than these two subcompacts.

Well...the new BX25 will be here today. The Kubota dealer threw in a free chainsaw, delivery, and materials for the 50hr service. With insurance and everything it came out to around 17700.

I gotta admit, I really wanted the Kubota. I'm sure the others are excellent tractors Kubota, but around here the Kubota is the one to beat. Reputation, resale value, and availability all had a part in the decision.

I'll get some new tractor pics up tomorrow. Thanks for all the help!

Here she is all safe and sound in MY garage.:thumbsup:You can see a little of her stablemates, the Mitsui on the left and Hustler in front.

A pic of her dirty backside.:laughing: And no, she didn't make the mess on the floor.:D

And finally, one of the reasons for the late pics of a dirty tractor.
Bota hole.jpg

What you can't see in the big ole stump in that hole. It's gotta be 4' in diameter.
Calling for rain over the weekend, so we'll see. I'm going up to see gatorgirl this morning and pick up the tooth bar for the fel bucket. I have found out that I don't know how to run a backhoe, but hopefully I will improve with all of the practice I'll be getting.

Again, many thanks for all of the help and advice. And anyone close to the Union County, NC area looking for a new tractor really should check out Brooks Sales. Besides Kubota, they also carry CaseIH and NH. Ask for Jeremy.
