Ok folks, this you won't believe. Had my son, who is a Master Diesel Tech @ a local Ford dealer do the FIRST 50-hr service on one of my smaller tractors. Pictures of the trans/hydraulic strainer tell the horrible story and this is the CRAP the Kubota Factory is leaving in their machines. My guess it's Permatex, RTV or some gasket disintegrating.......................Kubota should be ashamed of themselves for this nonsense.

That is normal for a new machine. Hence why you do the mandatory 50 hr service.

My BX2200 that was built in 2002 occasionally will have stuff in the strainer. That's what it is supposed to do.

Between that strainer and the micron filter, it cleans up the fluid well before it goes to be pressurized.

Got around 1600 hours on my machine and no issues.

Folks -- I have owned over 50 tractors of all colors and arguments that this is "normal" have low credibility.

Plus, my son, an ASE, Ford Certified Master Diesel Technician who did the service and who has worked on thousands of diesel engines, transmissions, including 10 years at CAT working on million dollar systems, etc. says "this garbage" in the hydraulic system is laughable, clearly a factory screw up.

Hmmm I seem to recall working for a tier 2 f*rd supplier making tranny parts for some high volume car with internal passages that could never get cleaned properly because of the part's design...maybe we should have called ASE, Ford Certified Master Diesel Technician to save the day...

What does this comment have to do with the issue?

Ok, there痴 a bunch of crap in the screen. Did the hydraulics exhibit any abnormal symptoms? Cavitation, low flow? Nobody is going to refund your money, trade you a new tractor or reimburse you in any way. Get over it and move on.

The pics show a little more crud than I had when I did my 50hr. But I think you are way over-reacting to a fairly normal thing.

This is why the first service is so very important.

It is also why one should change both filter and oil at first service, regardless of what the owner's manual says.

Well I am one that believes that there shouldn't be any 'crap' left behind by manufacture/assembly. It shows poor quality control. Maybe in this day and age its normal but it shouldn't be. Maybe a little negative feedback instead of a shoulder shrug would help Kubota do a better job.
