None, at this time.
What's up guys,

So, I'm in the market for a new or lightly used Kubota B2650, B3350, or L3xxx series. I really had my mind set on the L3901 because of the workload I'm going to be putting on the tractor (heavier tractor more durability, more traction, more power etc.), but I noticed that somehow Kubota has the lift capacity as higher for the B3350 than on the L3901, which makes absolutely no sense. I'm assuming that lift 2 feet back from the pins is on perfectly level ground with a proper counter weight(s). I would think that because the L is about 1000 lbs heavier, it would naturally be able to handle more lifting.

I only have a 3 acre lot, but I have some serious brush going on and need to remove multiple trees from the tree line that are dead/dying from the vines growing up them, put in a perimeter fence with a front gate (will likely rent the post hole digger for 100 for the weekend), I'm removing a crushed driveway (it was improperly installed with a lack of sub-base material, so it crumbled), and jackhammer/cutting and then hauling out a settled concrete pool deck and digging up and augmenting the footer drain around the bottom of the basement, so I'll either rent a 9 ft back hoe or purchase one. Also, i'll be trenching for french drains and running conduit to fence post lights for some yard lighting. Basically, i have a lot of large projects to complete, and I'm just a little concerned the B series won't be up to the task. I also have to remove an old decrepit 5' by 5' hot tub, which I've read weighs about 1000 lbs when completely drained.

Now, besides the treeline there's a lot of grass, but I have a zero town for finish mowing purposes. I'll mostly be using this tractor for utility applications at my house (lifting loading clearing pushing snow in the winter, installing crushed stone and gravel, moving pallets, and the like. Being as I'll have the tractor, I also considered starting a small landscaping and/or earth moving side job/business. Around here, people seem to make a killing from that (Northern VA) What do you guys think, and what are your thoughts about the lift capacity of the L vs the B3350.

Implements I want to have at purchase:

Rotary Cutter for clearing the ground brush and small trees and vines
Quick attach front end loader with 3rd function
Box Blade for leveling and installing gravel driveway (eventually will install pavers)
Grappler for grabbing and picking up the brush material and/or pulling it out of low tree branches. There's a ton of poison ivy and poison oak in the tree line. I've already gotten messed u p pretty bad getting at it with a chain saw and machete, so I can see this being extremely useful.

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks in advance!

B

:welcome:
To TBN B. You have come to the right place as we love to spend other people's money. :D

With all that you have to do, I would go with the L for sure.

When you are talking about lift, I guess that you are talking about the 3 pt hitch?

You are correct about the heavier and bigger L being more stable. Also the L has greater hydraulic pump flow and greater lift with the FEL.

Be sure to get the 4wd version for loader work. The bigger tires will help with bigger loads.

How long do you plan on owning the tractor?
How long do you plan on only having 3 acres?
What is your potential use schedule like?

I've 2 lots in Northern Virginia, 1/4 acre and 1/2 acre, and a 3.5 acre lot in northeast Mississippi. My B7610 works well for all.
My 1/2 acre lot in NoVa was a mess and took me a while to clean it up, but once cleaned up tractor requirement is minimal.

Renting a mini-ex for weekend (Sunbelt used to charge me a daily rate from Friday afternoon until Monday morning) at $350 a time may be a very cost effective solution.

Note, I've only lived in Fairfax County Virginia since 1975 and have seen maybe a score of storms that needed a tractor to push snow.

Does the L model you are looking at have position control? The B models you listed do. If you are digging post holes you will want it. Be wary of the emission exhaust system on the 3350. Since you are going to be working in a tight environment, I'll suggest the B series. The weak point on the B for your requirements will be lifting heavy concrete high enough to dump it in a dumpster. You'll have to limit the load to a few hundred pounds (unless you use the rented backhoe for the job). It's a tough decision. You rarely hear someone say, "Shucks, I wish I had less HP and weight."

Maybe they don't post here but every year we get people coming in with low low hour tractors several years old and not used because of being to big to comfortably move around the property or all the work only took a few hours to do not knowing what they can do when purchasing.
