LOaded R4s? It will rip up the lawn. That's a heavy machine to mow the lawn with.

Either way don't give it away those 3 remotes you paid dearly for. Maybe find a way to pay it off (home equity loan?) if it's not already paid for and sell it private sale. That machine will bring good money because it is well optioned and low low hours, no emissions pre-tier 4.

Walk slowly and do your homework, don't get burned.

Good luck, Fred

Keep that tractor! It's a good medium sized tractor. Put some unloaded turf tires on it instead. That should help the grass.

And, get a lawn mower if you need one.

I agree with Fred , you have a nice tractor for sure so don't give it away . If you make a trade with a dealer you are going to lose big time . It may take a little time but it will sell at a fair price for you and the person buying it .

How about trading that tractor to a Kubota dealer for a B-series with FEL plus a nice Kubota diesel zero turn?

It would make me ill to trade that nice, well-equipped, almost new "big" tractor for a smaller tractor.

We'll you all definitely gave me some options to think about..... really having second thoughts about possibly letting it go. It's paid off and I really don't want to take a big hit and feel like I over paid for a smaller tractor in the end. I'm kinda thinking mabe I should look into getting a set of turf tires (a few months back they had a nice full set on ebay for about $600.... I should have grabbed them). I also just want to make sure I'm putting the tractor to use enuff to justify having it. I'll keep the thread posted as to what I decide to do.

Trading back in to a dealer builds a price point for his profit margins for his bother. It's fair, but it isn't the best on your wallet. He has to make money on your old machine since it will be sitting on his lot and there will be a commission to the salesman who moves it out and a prep fee paid to the technician who serves it for the next customer, plus something for the company. If money is no object, sure, trade it in, but that is a kind of wholesale price you'd be getting for it. That's the way this works with trucks, cars, boats, etc.

Do two things at once. Keep it, use it and market it. See what happens. And, while you're still using it, why not have it up on TractorHouse and Craigs? Let the events themselves decide. Perhaps it will sell next week or next month, perhaps longer. Meanwhile, just use it. Take your time. The tyranny of the urgent is often our financial enemy. We pay dearly for impulse. There is no reason to succumb to it.

One of my neighbors mows his yard with an L3540 and MMM. He also uses it for other things like road maintenance, but it seems to work well as a mower, he has turf tires.

Zero interest...60 month financing is one of your major "hindrances". As I consider CUT purchase I would be hard pressed to buy a low hour fairly new similar used tractor at anywhere near new price...due to the benefit of zero interest...as well as the other benefits of new purchase. Dealer said that zero interest makes "like new" private sales a bit tougher. FWIW...Tom R
