Price Check Kubota L3830 price check

Hi, been looking at new tractors around town and was blown away by the price of a new subcompact around here. Dealers want at least $1,500 over msrp (and sometimes considerably more) I understand due to freight costs, everything here in Hawai訴 will cost more than in the mainland, but geez! Anyways, I found a guy about an hour away selling a 2008 Kubota L3830 with FEL for $15,000. It痴 a 4WD with hydrostatic transmission with 245 hours on it. He says he is the original owner and has done oil changes and lube himself and it has always been parked under cover. I知 gonna try to get out there tomorrow to check it out and if it looks good I could arrange pickup on Tuesday.
The L3830 is a bit bigger than I need, but I figure it痴 cheaper than buying a new subcompact around here and would get stuff done faster than a sub. What do you guys think?

Sounds like a great deal if it is clean and doesn't look abused..

Does it have a loader? We have the GST version of that tractor and have been very happy with it. It will run a 7 foot finish mower quite happily and it's also been quite happy baling hay both small squares and large rounds.

Thanks guys! Yeah Aaron, it does have a front loader. I’m assuming it’s a Kubota loader, but we’ll see tomorrow. Got the ok from my wife, so if everything checks out hopefully I’ll be a tractor owner next week!

Sounds like a fair deal. I've recently purchased an L4330 and it is the best tractor I've ever owned.

The "30" series tractors were good units,I had a L3130 HST.That is a pre-emissions tractor;and a fair price ,low hours for the year.

Checked it out today. Starts right up and everything seems to work. Cosmetically, there is a little rust and the headlight lens is broken, but underneath the tractor is surprisingly clean. It comes with some kind of ripping hook connected to the 3 point hitch and there’s also a 3 foot scraping bar that can connect to the hitch. Its not a box scraper; the guy calls it a “sweet potato bar”. Also come with operators manual and shop manual. Got him to come down to $13,500 on the price and it will cost $180 for a local tow company to pick it and deliver on a flatbed. I’ll try to upload some pics I took from my phone. I scheduled to pick it up on Tuesday morning so I still have time to back out of the deal, but it seems like a decent deal to me. There’s a Kubota Dealer in town so I’ll be able to get parts if I need to.
