Kubota M7040 vs. JD 5425 vs. NH TN75DA and ITDS (Imminent Tractor Delivery Syndrome)

After having just spent the last 3 1/2 weeks comparing the Kubota M7040 to the John Deere 5425 and to the New Holland TN75DA, and after reading many of the excellent posts here on TractorByNet, I have placed an order for the Kubota M7040 . By my best estimation these are all exceptional pieces of equipment. However, in the end, for me, the Kubota won out based on its performance, features and value. I will be trading in my New Holland TC40 when the Kubota arrives. Here's what I ordered...

Kubota M7040HDC 4WD, Cab Tractor:

AM/FM/CD Stereo
Rear Wiper/Washer Package
Power Forward/Reverse Shuttle
LA1153 Quick Attach Loader w/
Optional Hydraulic Self Leveling
Single Lever quick-attach hydraulic coupler
3rd remote loader function
“KSR” Kubota Shockless Ride system
Front Grill Guard
Cast iron wheels
One set of rear cast wheel weights

I will also be upgrading to a 72" Land Pride, heavy duty mower for the 3-point.

It looks like I will not be able to take delivery on this unit until the end of November. Man, this is going to be a long wait (ITDS from an earlier post) .

I will be happy to provide updates on the purchase and delivery process as well as my ongoing experiences with owning and operating this Kubota.

Congratulations !! Great purchase. Don't worry about the ITDS , its not like you'll be thinking about your new tractor every day !

Just a quick update on the M7040...

My dealer really came through for me and found an M7040 tractor at another dealer. I guess the unit he ordered for me from Kubota hadn't been scheduled yet. I stopped by to see it today. They were just adding some of the hydraulic options I had ordered. Sounds like I might get it this week!

I had a 7040 delivered two months ago with similar options. You will love it. Its a great machine

Let us know how the hydraulic quick coupler and the 3rd function remote options on the loader work out for you. I am considering these on my tractor purchase.

The front hydraulics are controlled with bottons on the joystick and couplers are the type compatible with skidloaders using the flat face type. Tried hooking up the 8 ft snow plow and it was quite an easy process. First you curl the loader arms to get the quick attach to engage on the plow, flip the levers and then plug in the couplers and you are ready to plow. Now I have to wait for snow.
