Kubota Radiator Cap

Where is a good place to get a radiator cap?

Coleman Equipment shows the Kubota Radiator Cap for my BX2200 is 56930-25870 and $35.63, plus shipping.

NAPA, Messicks.com, and tractorpartsasap.com do not even show this part.

Apparently, my local Kubota dealership is aware that these are hard to find because their price seems to be the Coleman Equip price with shipping already added to it.

eBay has it, but again, the same price.

$35 seems steep for a radiator cap, and I'm not 100% sure that my radiator cap is causing my overheating issues.

Is there a decent crossover part (like a STANT radiator cap) that I can use?

I was able to find the 2000 BX1800 tractor on STANT's website, and it showed both 10227 and 10327. I'm not sure of the year of my BX2200, because Tractor Data doesn't show any year information on the serial numbers (here).

The radiator cap does not cause overheating. It raises the boiling point if you run abnormally hot, or it gives you a margin of safety if you do start to overheat. You can always take your cap to an auto parts place and compare the sizes. The two Stant numbers are both 13 psi caps. One is a standard unit and the other has a pressure release lever on it.

If the radiator cap does not seal the pressure, then the fluid will slowly blow out when mowing for hours and the engine temperature would gradually go up.

That is the issue I am experiencing. Either the coolant is being slowly released out of the radiator cap or coolant is slowly leaking out somewhere else (like a bad head gasket seal).

I know the Stant numbers both work for the BX1800, but I don't know if they work for the BX2200. I don't need to install a radiator cap that doesn't fit right and still gives me the same problems.
