Kubota Steering Knob

Has anyone used one of these and are you happy with the mounting hardware? Does it damage soft stering wheel?

I received one as a Christmas gift, primarily for mowing with my BX2660. I've not yet mowed with it, but it installs easily and stays securely in place. However, I've not removed it to inspect the wheel underneath...

I also got one for Christmas, and I'm happy it's there when I want to use it. I also have not checked for damage on the steering wheel, but I don't suspect it will damage it, as it has padding.

I installed one last summer for mowing. I tried many others. This is the only one that stays in place. If it leaves a mark, who cares... It's not coming off!

I bought an off-brand steering wheel knob at Tractor Supply for about $12, & it works great! Holds on to the wheel like concrete :thumbsup: It might leave a little dent/ impression in the steering wheel, but that's OK with me.

Pimp it up with a leather steering wheel cover. Lots of grip to palm-it
quickly , and feels MUCH nicer that the poxy plastic steering wheel.
$15 from Kmart ........

Have one on my BX2360. I really like it,works great when snowblowing. Getting one this spring for my 3130.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but on a tractor with power steering why is a spinner knob even necessary?

I most certainly wouldn't use one on a manual steer tractor either; hit a bump or rut just right you can get bump steer and the knob would really hurt when it hit your hand.

The only time I see that one would be beneficial is on an old truck or tractor with slow steering gear box where you had to turn the wheel a lot to make direction changes.

What am I missing with regards to the benefit of a spinner knob?
