I visit and post on four or five forums reguarly. This is without a doubt the most user friendly and friendly for the users one out there.

Last night I did a just before bedtime check of the forums and noticed a recent post that was a personal attack.

It was a newbie so I didn't notify the moderator but made a mental note to do so this morning.

This morning it was gone.

It is diligence and wisdom of the moderators as much as the creativity and individuality of the posters that make this such a great site.

Thank you moderators.

I have to agree with you Harv. This is the most professional site that I have ever participated on. I also would like to thank the management and the ownership here. Things are always keep in line, with a family atmosphere in mind. I will not actively participate in any site that doesn't adhere to these standards. (NO profanity or back biting etc, or very little anyways) One thing that does amaze me, is the standard that the membership as a whole adheres to, especially given the large membership that we have today. General there is problems with unruly members as membership increases, this my be true, but as a whole it doesn't seem to have changed much from when we just had 500 members until now.

I have to agree also and would also like to express my thanks. The only problem now is my seven year old likes to read the board too!!!! Boy talk about alot of questions! He's pushing dear old Dad to his limited knowledge but what fun!!! Keep up the good work! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I agree whole heartedly Harv. I know the thanks to moderators is few and far between sometimes, but they all deserve it. Have I had issues with them......?? Well yeah /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif but in the end, I was wrong and admitted it.

THANKS GUYS /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Harv,

I agree with you 100%! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

We've certainly seen the occasional "angry" thread or comments directed towards the moderators. But in almost every case, the posters of the angry comments have ultimately realized that they had overreacted and end up apologizing.

But even if there was some amount of justification for being upset at a moderator (which IMHO really is very rare), we still have to remember that they can make mistakes just like anyone else. They're not getting paid to do the job. They do it because they are very knowledgeable and because they're dedicated to TBN. And because they've accepted a certain level of "authority" or leadership, they willingly allowed a bulls eye to be painted on their backs.

They do a great job and we need to remember to thank them more frequently than we do. So I'll start now and say:

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU ! (There - that covers the next 6 months! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif)

</font><font color="blue" class="small">( Heer, heer

not sure how to spell that
)</font>

Vin,

Just for future reference, and because you asked - H e a r, H e a r. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Rat, Harv said he saw a post that was a personal attack, but that attack was not directed toward him.

And thanks to all for the kind words about the moderators. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Bird's right. It wasn't directed at me.

Newbies, especially it they're veterans of other forums, slip up and attack the person instead of the idea.

OUR MODERATORS (that's a proudfull shout) don't put up with that. And that's wonderful.
