Has anyone with a L40 tractor with rear hydraulic outlet tested the pressure? Installed a rear outlet on mine and checked the pressure and had heart failure. It topped out at 3200psi. Seems a lot high to me but was wondering if they are all this way.

Have you checked to see what the pressure is on your FEL circuit? Just curious to see if they are the same.

I did check and the loader is 2550psi right where it should be. Seems odd the rear remote circuit has a higher relief setting unless mine is messed up. That is why I would like to know what others have found.:)

There is a separate relief valve on the loader circuit. The main rv sets the remotes.

I know that but, does not explain why the main relief would be set that high and is that the norm or do I have one that was built on a Friday afternoon.

Do you have two separate relief valves on your tractor? I am not familiar with L**40 series so was just curious.

How are the rear remotes plumbed into the circuit? before or after the FEL control valves?

I put rear remote on my L 5240 and it reads 2500psi on my cab hst tractor.

The rear remotes come off a completely separate circuit than the fel.

Did not your L come with remotes. All cabbed L's come with 2 rear remotes from the factory at least they do in Canada.
I did check a L at the dealer today and it was at 2500 psi too. Don't know why mine is so high and the mechanics did not have a clue as to how to adjust it either.:confused2:

I guess that would explain the two different pressures.

I guess now the question is, what circuit are they tied too and where is the relief valve to control pressure in this circuit.

Does anyone have a hydraulic schematic for this model?

Roy
