As some may recall, when I bought my Kubota last summer there was a unacceptable delay in the delivery of the backhoe subframe. The dealer assured me that the tractors 3pt. hitch was plenty strong enough for the BrushHog 650 backhoe that was installed, and that I should not have any problems operating it without a subframe. He further added that should anything fail under normal use that he would handle it through Kubota. After 4 months of waiting, and no credible delivery date from BrushHog, I cancelled the subframe order.
Tonight I was driving a load of topsoil across my yard and BANG!, the backhoe fell to the ground. The toplink tore the backside of the differential housing right out.
I'm sure the dealer will handle this as a structural failure and repair it under warranty. I'll have him reorder the subframe and mount it when he does the repair. I hope he can loan me something in the meantime so I don't lose precious months worth of excavating/landscaping on my property.
If any TBNers have wisdom to share on how to best handle this so it goes smoothly, I would be eager to hear from you. Also, I would post some pictures (I took plenty) if someone could PM me and tell me how.
Thanks in advance!
