Have lost my mind over my L3010HST temp problem! I have changed the temp sender and the same problem still the same! Checked the gauge with a variable resister and gauge responds correctly! Have checked system wire for ground or short and found nothing! Wish I had an electrical diagram for this Kubota L3010HST, I have searched the net and no luck! Maybe someone here has had the same problem and knows where and how to fix the problem. Oh yes I forgot the temp at the radiator is 162 F as I measured with a 0-250 temp gauge I found and checked with boiling water and a ice bath and was right on.

Are you sure the thermostat is opening properly. That sounds like a partially stuck in the closed position thermostat. The radiator may be cool but the engine would be overheating if the thermostat isn't functioning properly. On an overheating engine that is the first thing I would replace if radiator is cool but temp gauge shows hot.

I had a truck once that almost drove me buggy. IT would start to run hot on interstate at 70 MPH but ran ok at low speed. It was always cool at the radiator within seconds after stopping to check. I finally discovered that the radiator bottom hose was collapsing at high RPM due to lack of water flowing thru the radiator because the coils were almost completely stopped up with calcium deposits. This was on a one year old truck with all original coolant. I put on a new lower hose, had the radiator cleaned and everything was back to normal. That issue and a bad electronic module that I finally replaced myself since Ford dealers couldn't find a problem spoiled me on Ford Motor products. Have not bought one since.

Thanks Gary Fowler
I have replaced the thermostat because it was stuck full open and coolant was moving too fast to cool down. But still the gauge moves to the line behind the over temp red area. I replaced the sending unit 4 or 5 months ago and not the cure! But now I do see the gauge moving from the Max line to the mid point of the H after the max line. I checked the resistance of the sender and it was changing from cold to hot but don't know ohm value to temp rate. But I do feel the radiator move from cold to warm to hot and back to cool/warm and so on and so on. Guess eater the gauge is off or the sender is not right but TRACTOR RUNS LIKE IT SHOULD! If I ever find out which is the problem I will post it and jump for JOY!!
