B3200, L5740,
I have been just a little disappointed with the lift on the LA723 loader so I got around to checking the pressure and it was about 1600#. Quite a bit low. Has anyone else found this on there tractors:confused: A couple hundred pounds maybe but 1000# low:confused2::confused:

Sorry but I have never checked the pressure.

Out of curiosity can you describe how and where the pressure is being measured and at what RPM?

Are you certain the pressure gage is accurate? I know it is unlikely, but it is always worth verifying before proceeding with repairs.

There is a thread on here about changing the bypass pressure by pulling shims from the valve. Search is your friend...

I checked at one of the loader ports with a 0-3000psi gauge. I also checked it all the way from idle to high idle. I have no real way to check the accuracy of the gauge but I doubt it is out 900psi

500 psi will change the lifting force about 1571 lbs with a straight on push.

900 psi will change the lifting force about 2827 lbs with a straight on push

Resetting the relief will definitely increase your lift.

Adding a shim or two is all that is needed. I had a gauge on my L3830 permanently attached. It was nice knowing that my pressure was always right on.

I have added multiple shims to bring it up to pressure. I am perplexed as to why it was so low. Seems to low to have come from the factory that way and why would anyone change it?

I have a couple of questions if you do not mind answering.

1) What pressure did you set it at?

2) What is the correct Quick Disconnect for the gage? I'm not certain if all quick disconnects are the same and how to purchase the correct one if there is more than one style. I would not mind making up my own pressure tester.

If you have a QD on the valve now, just get the male or female QD to match. If you want to permanently install, just add a tee at the IN port and put a QD in the tee. Plug the gage in with the engine off. Now, it can be used to monitor and test the hyd system.

I set it to 2600 psi which is close to factory specs. I just went to Kubota and got the correct quick coupler for my loader, got the right reducer and screwed in the pressure qauge. Now I can check when ever I need to.:)
