Any suggestions on a nice OEM looking location to install a switch for some lights I'm about to put up in the ROPS bar? I have a L3200 & plenty of wiring skill, so mostly just looking for cosmetic advice. Also debating whether to use a relay & ignition wire, or just going straight to the battery so it stays on regardless of switch position.

You should have a factory pigtail located under the left rear fender. This will energize with the headlight switch.

I installed a pair of weather proof in the fender... B7510, not sure if it would work for your application

On the older L series there are a pair of wires with butt connectors under each rear fender. They are positive and ground and are hot with the key on. There is also a hole in each fender inside the hazard/turn lights that can be used for a weatherproof switch.

Will check under the fenders. May or may not end up using those long term though. I was doing some late evening work the other night & was barely better running without headlights than dealing with the glare coming off the end of the bucket or forks from the headlights a few inches behind them. I'm hoping the light coming in from a better angle up high will cause less glare.

Is that plug under the fender some kind of standard? It looks like 2 female spade connectors set 90 degrees off in a T. Haven't had a chance to dig out my crimp connectors to check if they fit. There a cheap & easy source for a male plug in that T configuration?

I installed my switch on the bracket for the Range Selector. I just used a small toggle switch. I ran the power from underneath the left (sitting on tractor) fender out of the factory switched pigtail. Took probably 10 minutes to have it operating and installed. Look close at the pic attached and you can see where the switch was installed.

My 4 LEDs are now installed on a bar U-bolted to the top of the ROPS. Used 4 PVC pipe cut into hockey pucks as a 1" standoff. Soldered & heat shrunk everything together up top. Have about 8' of spare wire coiled up and zip tied down at the bottom.

Spade connectors crimped on & plugged in under the fender for the moment. Probably going to leave it like that for the moment unplugging/plugging as needed. Figured the best looking & functioning install will be a switch just to the right of the hazard switch. Should be enough room for the switch & a fuse nearby. Hope to have time for that & painting all the white PVC & bar black soon.

Man I'm loving those 4 square Tuff LEDs (Amazon.com), it's like daylight with them on. No glare from up there either, unlike the headlights, which I now leave off.

Hope to grab pics soon.

Gotta love LED's. Now if they would just come out in a T19 base for the headlights. I have a couple of 1156 LED backup lights that I use in my lawn tractor. They make the tractor look like it has projector HID's. I will be looking at those Tuff LED's.
