Hello,

New member here. I just finished cutting the ears off my pin on bucket. I have a bracket I want to weld onto the bucket.

What I need is to know where the QA bracket is on the L3200 or L3800. Basically I would like someone with a QA bucket to measure from the bottom of the bucket to the top of the QA bracket on the bucket.

If that makes sense. I need a reference point in order to weld it on and be as close to the QA bucket as possible.

Or maybe even if someone has made the conversion and they have a measurement.

I need to determine how high up the plate goes on the bucket.
Closer to the bottom or top? Best way to get the bucket to sit how it was originally.

Your picture here it looks like you came about an inch above where the bucket rolls? How did you determine where to weld the plate on? The height?

Take your square and set it on edge on the tip ledge of the original bucket and bring up your SSQA plate to touch the square blade. I had a 3 piece of 1/4 inch flat plate steel 60 inches long I welded on the top.that stuck out to touch the SSQA plate to reinforce the top for hooks, and also reinforce the SSQA plate and give abour 40 inches of weld.

I also had to remove all of the original Kubota stiffener piece of right angel steel in the middle when I went to the Kioti as the handle of the latch mechanism hit it. You might get away with it on the Kubota adaptor.

I also made some pieces for the bottom to tie the SSQA plate back to the bucket near the latch notches to extra strength. but it is up to you. See the photo's in my thread.

seems like you welded the plate awful high, how did you come up with your figuring on the mount? I saw another picture from someone else and theres looked too low but I have no point of reference as I never seen a real SSQA on a l3200
