L3400DT vs L3130DT

Hello, to all great discussions in these forums. Looking to purchase soon. I was at my local dealer last weekend and got some pricing. Iam new at this so be kind. L3400DT w/FEL 60" lift #1,000, $16,500, L3130DT w/66" lift #1,345 $18,000. I have 3.5 acres to mow but will have to maintain 50 acres of common area, Fair price? First stop.

I live in SW VA, down below Roanoke. I got a price on the L3400 hydro with FEL for $16,900. This includes filled tires and delivered (35 miles). Prices do vary between areas, but according to what I have found, that price is a little bit high, but nothing drastic. I have no researched the 3130 as much, but did get a price on it with the FST. I think it was about $500 to $600 more.

I just sent out 5 e-mails to the sales departments of dealers with-in 25 miles of my property. I want to see what I get back.

I think it may be in the range of a fair deal. I own an L3400 and paid arouind that price. I have no complaints on the tractor, so I believe I got a good deal. Prices do vary as other have said, by region. I am sure you will find prices higher and lower at other dealers. Have fun in your search.

Since I am in Texas price comparision would be no help. Looking at the lift height and weight ratings you are stating for the L3130 I believe that you have been quoted on the LA513 FEL. I suggest that you also get pricing for the LA723 FEL. It will fit with out question and has substantially better ratings. That is what I have and it is well worth it.

If Winchester is not too far for you, give High View Equipment a call they are just outside of Winchester in WVA, when I bought my B -7500 they easily beat the prices in Manassas, Warrenton, and Winchester.
