3-Point Hitch L3830 lost rear hydraulics

   / L3830 lost rear hydraulics #11
I have a 4330 that had the same problem a couple years back. I ended up taking it back to the dealer and they fixed it. I spoke with the mechanic and he said there is a screen in the rear block that has a Teflon piece in it and mine had just crushed blocking the hydraulic flow.

Many thanks to KBL3830 for sending me hydraulic system information from the service manual. It may not help me fix my tractor, but I'll learn more about how it all works as I do more trouble-shooting!

You're welcome gstasny, hope it helps. It's interesting to see the differences between models. I went and played with the aforementioned control nob on my 3830. I put the tph all the way down, closed the control, and raised the tph without any difference. Once up it stays up till the control is opened, Go figger.

My L3830 had a broken pressure control spring (if not the right lingo, I'll check the printouts). This is actuated by the 3 point control lever position shaft.
I found an excellent mechanic just a couple of miles from my house (referral), and he had it repaired and returned promptly.
He commented it had a "12 lb" spring, and he had a "12-1/2lb" spring he used in its place.
I know more than before, and if it ever happens again, I can do the work.
It's fixed, and I'm happy.

Would you email this to me? I have a little B size Kubota, and the same thing just happened. I have no rear hydraulics - nothing. The front loader works, not great, but works. I had an issue with the front lines getting old and leaking last summer, and then fluid shot out through what I call the front 'elbow' where you put the hyrd fluid in. I don't know if the two issues are related. Did not happen real close in time, but I assume as one line falls apart with age, more are coming. As you can tell, I am not an expert with the parts language, but I can follow a owners manual if someone can point me in the right direction!
