I don't usually say "thingy," but I thought it might get someone's attention, and besides that, I don't know what to call it. I can't find it in the manual. It's a small control lever on the right side in front of the PTO control. It's a two position lever and seems like I can hear something happening when I push it, but I don't know what.

BTW, I just bought the tractor and am having fun with it, but I still have a ton to learn. I bush-hogged about 12 acres today, and I am planning to drag some logs and pull some fenceposts tomorrow and Thursday.

I have one rear remote, but I found the location for the rear remote levers and there is already a lever in one of the slots, so I don't think this is for that. But as I say, there's a lot to learn.

Thanks.

On the L30 series you have a PTO at the rear most position on the right side of the seat, then 3 open slots unless you had a spool(s) installed which would control a rear remote(s). After that you have the position and sometimes a draft control if you opt to purchase it extra. If you are moving a lever in one of those three spots and you hear a change in the engine, chances are you are attempting to push hydraulic fluid into a unconnected set of remotes in the back. Look for some quick couplers on the rear.

Go to tractorsmart.com and click on manuals and request a parts manual for your tractor and they will email the link for you to download it. Very nice of these people to make this available.

OK, I told you I had a lot to learn. The lever in question is (as some of you suggested) for the one remote hydraulic control on my tractor.

Maybe my next post will be less dumb?

Thanks.
