I going to buy one of these soon. I wanted to get some input on the pricing I have gotten and general opinions on the Kubota, and New Holland.
I have a farm and will be purchasing in East Tennessee or Georgia. The local dealer has quoted me;
L3830 GST with R4 tires - $16,500
TC 40DH - $17,500
Are these prices considered good? They look about 15% off list. I have not really started negotiating, but want to find out from this forum what is possible. Could I expect to get these prices down another $1000?
These are standard models with no additional options. I will be using the tractor primarily for bush hogging( I will probably be getting the Bush Hog SQ720). The farm is in a valley with some hills but not too steep. I will also do some general maintenance to the gravel roads etc. No heavy plowing etc. I may be interested down the road in a FEL.
I like both, but have always thought I wanted a Kabota. I'm not sure now.
Can any of the Pro's out their push me in one direction or the other?
Whats the best price I can expect. I need to know when to pull the trigger.
Thanks,
Bill
