Backhoe L39: Where to buy hyd. thumb & backhoe buckets

In my search for a compact TLB, the latest prospect is an L39. I've bounced from L48 to JD 110 back to L48 and now to the L39.

Did anyone ever find a place to buy a thumb for the L39? Did they supply the aux. hyd. or did you use Kubota's $1500 foot pedal setup?

I'd also like to know if anyone has found a good aftermerket supplier for backhoe buckets? The ones from Kubota seem a little high priced.

SkyPup, That's a very nice looking direct pin thumb they have for the L39. Do you have one? I'll give them a call tomorrow.

I don't have a thumb on my L-39, but if I did it would be a Faulkners!

We just put an Alitec on one using the Kubota hydraulics. You should find a way to work a relief valve into the circuit as the thumb can overpower the bucket and burst the hydraulic line if your not careful.

We also stock in line adjustable relief valves that can be plumbed out on the boom for the L 39 thumbs - they are a little clunky, but they do the job - M C Faulkner and Sons
