L3901 with landpride Qh15 quick hitch

Hey everyone, I just added a QH15 quick hitch to my L3901 and like I've read, it gets super close and will even hit the tail lights depending on how my top link is adjusted. I've dropped the side links to their lowest hole but the handles on the quick hitch still get super close if I have the top link shortened up for certain tasks. My question is, has anyone come up with a solution to keep the hitch from busting out the tail lights or is it something I'm just going to have to live with and be mindful of?

If you move the top link up on the tractor it will help, I have mine in the topmost set of holes. The other thing you can do is to set the stop on the 3pt lever to keep you from lifting it all the way up. Hope this helps.

Thanks, my top link is in the highest hole. I ended up dropping my side links to the lowest holes as well. I'm loosing a bit of lift height which kinda sucks when I have my box blade on though. I like to have it lift as high as possible to use like a skidder blade in the woods for pushing up logs. So far I feel like I'm getting the hang of having the quick hitch on there and haven't busted out my tail lights yet. First few times using it I got pretty close though.

I have the harbor freight quick hitch so I don't know if there is any difference or not. My top link is in the top hole and the lift arms on each side are in to top hole. When I lift mine all the way up without using any stops I have about 4 inches of clearance between the hitch and tail light

I have TnT & a cheap HF class QH. Don't remember what hole my toplink is in. I have yet to break anything, but probably could hit a fender, especially if the latches were up.

There isn't any difference in cheap QHes & LandPride dimensionally. LP is better quality though.
