kubota 2410 with loaded R4s
Most of the 83 hours on my 2410 has been spent mowing other than some light loader work. Last night I had some free "playtime" so I decided to go over to my neighbors gravel bank. I had the mmm on, r4s loaded with calcium chloride, nothing on the 3pt for ballast. She won't lift the rear end off the ground before the relief blows. Does anyone have a 2410 that will lift the rear end off the ground? Just want to make sure she is performing as she should. Maybe I'm expecting to much?!
Thanks,
MOG

Uhh....lift the rear end off the ground of my B2410??? /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gifI'm afraid to say I have done it too many times!!! I've done it with wet sand in the bucket mainly. Heap that baby up and lift and up pops the rear end!!!/w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

I have since ensured that I always have an implement on the 3ph (which I didn't have when I was lifting the rear end). Since then I've only done it once with a huge mounding load of dirt I was was "popping" out of the pile.

In other words...I have yet to pop the relief valve on my loader.

Are your tires loaded? Maybe that's the difference.

Knight9,
are your tires loaded? Now I'm getting nervous. At my 50hr service I used Amsiol ATH. Hope that has nothing to do with my apparently weak hydraulics. Don't know what to do now?!? I had a feeling it was not performing as it should. Yes, I checked the fluid level. any suggestions?

No my tires are not loaded. I run regular turf tires with no fill or wheel weights. If they were filled it probably would have kept my rear end on the ground properly....but I still would have had a full bucket and no relief valve.

I'm only at about 38 hours or so and have not yet done the 50 hour maintenance.

I've got a B2410 with FEL and turfs (unloaded). I've never run my loader without having something on the 3ph. With my tiller (about 400 lb) on, and working on uprooting some stumps, I have been able to get on the relief valve when trying to raise the boom. On the other hand, I have been able to lift the rear end (tiller and all) when doing the same job and using the bucket curl. Not sure if that helps any.

Tractors of this size can get unstable really quickly with loads in the FEL without any rear ballast, so I always run mine with ballast.

No way that could have that effect. I've got the same Amsoil in my B2710.

The bucket curl definitely has more breakout force than just raising the boom, but I figured that just raising the boom would lift the rear end with no ballast on the 3pt. I just need to know that my tractor is performing as it should. I'm sure Bird is right about the Amsiol. I was just skeptical about using it in the first place, but then I convinced myself that it was what I should use. hmm....what to do?
