Got back to the house about 9am today from spreading ice melt on some customer's parking lots and found a couple of new guys waiting for us. Record-breaking cold night (18F at our house--I realize this is mild compared to some of you but hey, we're in the Northwest Tropics).
We made a Q&D lambing stall in our storage stall and rigged up a heat lamp. Supposed to be another very cold night again tonight but they seem fine.
BTW the brown and white ewe in the photo is not the mother, she's the solid brown one in the background. The two-toned one should also lamb soon. This is the earliest we've had them, we got a new flock last summer and didn't segregate them properly due to some issues. Otherwise we'd have made sure the ram had to wait a bit!
