I have two acres of yard that has been sitting as an unfarmed field for several years. It is mostly weeds and is very rough. I had planned on having a neighbor disk it and then doing the final smoothing a prep work myself, but unfortunately when he first tried it was just too hard and dry to turn over. Since then we've had nothing but rain and lately it's been too wet for him to get in. I think we could probably get a tractor across it, but if we disked it would probably just ball up and be rougher than it is now. I could just overseed, but I would still have the roughness & ruts to deal with. Anyone have any suggestions on something I could rent that would tear up the top enough to smooth out the major ruts and roughness and leave a decent surface for seeding. Would something like a harley rake do the trick? Thanks,
