This is a little off subject, but Im sure you guys have lots of great ideas. How do you handle the leaves in your yards? Anyone came up with a vac attachment yet? Just wondering since the leaves are starting to fall.

I use a leaf blower to windrow the leaves perpendicular to the woods. Then I use the snowplow to push the windrow into the woods. Goes pretty fast. :)

Welcome to the forum and PowerTrac.
I use my finish mower to chop up the leaves. Usually takes a couple times but does very well. The little amount I use in the mulch pile I take from the leave blower (in reverse) sucking and chopping up.

I just leave the leaves alone.
Has worked fine on my place for 40 years.

That would be nice! We had areas in our yard when I was a kid that were true woods and we'd just leave them leaves lay. ;)

But where we are now, we have a decent lawn and lots of leaves leave the woods and lay on the lawn. That kills the grass. So, we put 'em back in the woods where the leaves linger lengthily until next spring. I then turn them, take the black dirt that is under them, and use that in my garden.:D

When you pile them up at/in the woods, how do you keep them from blowing back out into the yard. Most of my leaves blow out of the woods & are deposited neatly on my yard, my porches & in front of my garage doors!

The leaves that end up in the yard came from high up on the trees. Once I pile them up on the ground in the woods, they stay put, for the most part. The woods are so dense and the brush so thick, that little wind makes it to ground level, even in the most severe of storms.
