Zetor 4341
Here is a photo of my new Zetor 4341 with an 1100 pound square bale. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif The bale attachment was made to pick up round bales with one long and two short spears. It did not have enough holding power for the square bales because the hay is packed differently. We took two 42" lengths of 1.5" ID heavy water pipe with .25" walls and made longer spears that fit over the short ones. Each longer spear is held on by two bolts and a backing plate. They held the bale well but have a harder time penetrating the bale because they are 2" outside diameter. The loader had no problems picking up the bale could probably pick up a lot more weight.

The 4341 is 62hp gross, 59 net and 55 at the PTO. The standard 102 loader will pick up #3000 at the pins and the 102HL will pick up #3700. The whole rig must weigh close to #9000. (without the rear weight.) Life is definitely better with a Zetor.

Pete, The rear tires are not loaded, at this time. As you can see from the photo, I had a box scraper on the back of the machine to counter-balance the bale. The scraper weighs about 500 pounds. I've only put about 20 hours on this tractor so far, but it continues to impress me. The loader is the 102HL which is the heavy duty model. Chipperman was right on with the specs.

Looks good. Still waiting for mine. What happened to your snow?? Had another 1"or 2" today. I'm thinking about swapping my 5' (old gyramor 227) pull behind bush hog for a 10' 3 point job. The tractor tires are set at 7' so new tractor will straddle the cut, but I think the 3 point is easier to position.

Barry,
As you can see by the photo, most of our snow is gone. However, we did get several inches today but it will probably be gone tomorrow. I don't live in the heavy snow country. There are probably still several feet of snow on the ground fifty miles east of here. The muddy season starts now.
