Lifting Kubota BX24 with a crane

Is there an approved method for rigging a BX24 for lifting? I want to use my crane to drop it down over an 8' wall onto the shoreline of a river on my property. I think to make it a lighter lift I'll lift the backhoe and machine separately and reconnect them down below.
Kubota has published methods for lifting their minihoes, but I haven't found anything for the BX tractors.

How about taking it there by barge from a nearby marina or boat launch. Assemble one from logs or barrels or airbags and tow it into position.

im not sure if you can get a secure mounting point on the bx wide enough so it wont tip over. if you can get a crane - i wouldnt detach the fel and bh. on the BX i am sure you can add couple d rings on the front part of the frame, but the rear will be tricky as the frame is pretty narrow. i know they have 3pt ears for prevent 3 pt from dropping in the back and i used it for securing the BX to the trailer but i dont think its rated strong enough for entire BX for straight up lifting. perhaps a sling the the hole under boom swing area might work.

The river runs pretty fast so a barge wouldn't work. Does the 2700lb advertised weight include the FEL and Backhoe? If so I'm not worried about moving it in one piece. I can safely go out about 25 feet at 3000 lb and I'm sure I can find a good place to set up within that distance. I'll go take a look at how the front guard is connected to the frame. Maybe I can lift by the front guard and the BH boom foot.

Don't choose solid, narrowly separated lifting points below the center of gravity or you may have a BX hanging upside down.

rated weight = tractor - fluids, -tires most likely. other words extreme basic tractor. i would not take some numbers as fact. put it on a trailer go to some scales and get it weighed, then go back with empty trailer and weigh just trailer and see what you are at.

i would think removing FEL and having access to connection points of were fel connected would be nice and string. seeing FEL can lift tractor off ground and rear end if backhoe is on possibly.

i would think i would want a customized 3pt hitch implement welded up, that also tied into sub frame for backhoe connection. so you could have a wider support on rear end.

pending on brush gaurd mounts and bolting to front frame may or may not be good idea pending on how much frame you have to make a custom welded up connection perhaps?

and just lower each piece down and connect down below.

Instead of lifting the BX by itself, what about constructing a pallet with lift points? Or could you just lift an entire trailer and BX and lower them down.

Yes, put the tractor on a platform with each corner having a lift point. The converge 4 into 1 lift point and lower.

The BX-24 is not a very heavy piece of equipment. I'm guessing a rigging company would have a pallet they could slide together with spreader bars at the top and do the job pretty darned quickly. Do you own the crane? Are you going to do this more than once or twice? It may be worth your making such a pallet if this is going to be an ongoing project. Don't cheap out on your slings, or your materials. If the slings are frayed, discard them, a little caution could save you a lot of headache.

You don't kid. A local attorney won an eight-figure verdict because of a frayed sling. Slings are downright cheap compared to that kind of liability, your life, or the lives of your family members.
