I have an F3680, 72" deck side discharge. Third season I've had it. It has been excellent.

Starting to notice tufts of grass showing up in the cut right where the blades come together.
Blades could stand to be sharpened, but this strikes me as being something else and not sure what.

This picture shows them. Opinions? 20180811_180957.jpeg

Well, I'd start with the basics. Scrape the deck, sharpen or replace the blades if they are worn back and see what you've got.

Is a blade bent? Do you have a picture on flat ground?

It's not as bad on flat ground....still there but not all that noticable.

That may be a clue. I'm wonder about the wear of the washer and rubber bushes on the supports between the back of the deck and the arms. They are starting to look worn BUT i can't relate that wear to the cut issue I'm seeing.

This deck does not have grass etc stick to it. Pretty clean underneath. I will sharpen the blades, makes sense to at least start with that.

Have you ground the blades to a shorter length with frequent sharpening?
The blades don't appear to be overlapping correctly.

Slap a new set of blades on and the problem will disappear I expect. As mine wear and dull the same happens.

Mine started doing the exact same thing.. REPLACED BLADES, problem gone..
& when I held the new ones up to the old ones..{side x side} I found they were worn down, "a lot"..

Replace the blades and keep it at high rpms. Or. if you've never sharpened the blades, do so.

#1 Scrape your deck clean. #2 Check if your blades are sharp.

How do the blades look? Worn blades won’t cut as good regardless of sharpness.
