I want to show off my new used livestock trailer and to thank those who helped me find it.
First of all, thank you to all who contributed to my thread http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/trailers-transportation/107637-cm-stocker-livestock-trailer.html.
Special thanks to PaulChristenson for pointing to the place where I actually found the trailer I wanted and bought. Incidentally, PaulChristenson is in Vermont and the trailer was and is in Texas. That is what makes TBN so great!
The trailer is a CM Stocker, 16 feet long by 6 feet wide. It was advertised as a 2001 model, however, the title showed it to be a 2002 model. The price was right, $2100. The same trailer, new, goes for $4350 up.
Overall, the trailer was in very good shape. It was used by the dealership as a loaner, which may explain the canary yellow color.
All I had to replace was one floorboard, the brake break-away system, and the trailer jack caster wheel. Everything else to bring the trailer up to my standard was done with paint and elbow grease. But, the elbow grease was the fun part.
Here are the before (left) and after (right) pics. You tell me was it a good buy or not?
Thanks again PaulChristenson.
