Looking for some options on mounting a 2" receiver.

Hello all, I wanted to get some opinions on mounting a 2" receiver on the tool carrier on the loader. I am thinking of bolting, maybe weld, a short piece of of tubing to the cross pipe (torque tube?) of the quick attach on the loader. The idea is when I need to move a trailer I can just drop whatever is on the loader and grab the hitch I need, but my concern is if the tube is strong enough to support the weight. I'm trying to reduce the number of things I have to bring with the tractor, it has two homes that it is always going back and forth between. Also I have a gooseneck two horse trailer that I would like to be able to move, this is the one that the weight concerns me. My other trailer is a pintle so it's not as easy as throwing a ball in the bucket. I did that with our JD 790 and lost the trailer across the yard, lucky it was empty and stopped before it made it to the road. Here are some pictures, I'm holding the adapter sleeve from my truck to get an idea for the clearance. I'm open to suggestions.

Before you have it break off and ruin your bucket, take a look at Titan Attachments. I got a 3 pt hay spear and receiver combo with the pintel ball mounted up top. and then I picked up a SSQ front adjustable reciever hitch

I would not mount a receiver tube where you show. If you would bend the cross pipe (or what ever it is called) your bucket(s) probably won't latch properly. Then you'll be rebuilding the QA set up.

I'd look for something like the last link posted above.

I'm with these guys. The main purpose of that tube is to resist twisting forces applied to the SSQA brackets. It's not designed to lift weight. Buy a blank SSQA plate and weld your receiver to that.

Unless you reinforce the tube, I wouldn't mount it there.

Due to the lift rating of my V417, I bought the strongest receiver hitch plate that I could find.

The trailer weighs 5K, with 1K on the ball.

The horse trailer is 10,480 pounds empty, with 3,530 pounds on the ball.

I have a SSQA plate with a quick hitch welded to it. My 3pt trailer mover fits on that just fine. Moved my 16' tilting deck into the shop with it yesterday & am putting some stake sides on it to haul manure with it.

I too would not mount the receiver to the tube, as said above the slightest tweak of the torque tube will cause you to have issues with the ssqa. I would either build a ssqa receiver or incorporate it into the top of the bucket if you don't want a separate attachment. I have the same setup that fallen has a quickhitch welded to ssqa brackets and use the 3pt trailer mover.

I like the dedicated plate, but for now I will just weld it to the bucket. The bucket is on most of the time anyways. I would have a couple hundred tied up in a plate or $20 in tubing and some welding time, maybe a plate in the future.
