I recently purchased a new Ford F250 Super Duty Diesel Truck with the King Ranch package. I am interested in connecting with a forum more related to diesel than Ford as I plan to largely maintain it myself plus I want to be sure to know how it runs even if I don't do all of the maintenance.

I am interested in another great forum like TBN.

Go to Diesel Forum - TheDieselStop.com. They have been around forever in Internet Years. Way back when they had Ford in their name like TBN used Kubota. Ford made the site change their name just like what happened here on TBN.

Later,
Dan

Thanks for the information. As for fuel consumption, how long of a break in period in miles before you achieved the level of mileage that you say you are getting? I'm barely over 2000 miles and getting about 15 mpg on the highway at this point.

Gary after the first oil change mileage started to improve, second oil change is where the fuel mileage is now. First oil change went to synthetic and haven't looked back. Truck has mainly highway miles to S.C. And back about 325 mi one way and never go over 70 mph

I have a 2011 King Ranch and I get around 20mpg. Never had it back to the dealer other than one recall.

Thanks for the information. Ford suggests oil change at 10,000 miles under normal use. I am guessing that the average owner changes oil about 7,500. I was surprised to learn that Ford doesn't recommend a first oil change on a short interval like most diesel manufactures do such as John Deere. Anyway, just thinking...

First oil change at 5000 miles second when computer said to at 7500 miles. Truck has only pulled 20 foot enclosed trailor once and 12 foot trailor a couple of times. Most mileage traveling as truck is comfortable and roomy
