Buying Advice LS xg3037 or xr3037

Hi guys,
New to the tractor market. I had been looking hard at a new kioti but found that there was an LS dealer actually really close to the house so I'll be going by to check them out. I gave them a call and found these tractors to be in my budget and comparable if not better than the kioti. Just wanted to get some opinions from owners of these models or similar models or just LS tractors in general. Thanks a lot

There are a few differences between the XG and XR series. The XR series is what they call a premium tractor which comes with more options standard.
Here's a few changes.
Loader lift capacity XG-2088 lb. XR-2182 lb.
Fuel tank capacity XG-7.4 gallon XR 12.4 gallon
XG has no rear remotes, they are an option that is standard on the XR.
XG has no horn, another standard option that comes on the XR.
Not sure if the XG has cruise control, XR's do have it.
I'm sure there are probably a few more I missed.
They both have the Shibaura engine.
I would expect the XG to be priced lower than the XR due to fewer standard options.
I have the XR series cab model and really like what it can do.

I noticed on their website that the XR models had a lot of extra features. How do the new tier 4 engines seem to be working? Didn't know if any issues had came up so far.

I only have about 87 hours on mine but have not had any issues. It regens about every 4-5 hours. On the newer models with the LS engine the regen only cycles about every 50 hours. As I mentioned, the XR and XG both have the Shibaura engine so I'd expect the same 4-5 hour cycle on the XG. There are quite a few of us with the XR series. I have not heard of too many serious issues. Most of us don't even realize the engine is in regen mode unless you actually look at the dash gauges. In most cases you can continue working while its doing its thing. You'll have to read thru the other threads to get a better idea.
There is one other member I know of who is having an issue with his XR3037. His has gone into limp mode a few times and completely shut down a few times. He is awaiting some answers from his dealer and LS to fix the problem. Not sure if its due to where he lives or an actual engine problem. Where he lives is a much higher elevation (5000 ft. above sea level). I'm only at 500 ft.

In addition to what George said, the R series has extendable 3 point hitch arms and the G does not. These are very handy. Another thing I noticed when I was looking was the operator station on the R was much more comfortable and a better layout than the G.
