Same issue here with my XR 3135HC. Do you have a picture of the new valve compared to the old valve to show the difference in paint coverage?

I have a Montana 5720 I have been losing power putting out hay if there is resistance and I also noticed in third gear going up hill I lost power two so you think it could be the EGR valve

about how much does a EGR valve cost

I would check if you even have a EGR valve. I believe they have been added to meet the new tier 4 rules.

Well... My problem came back. LS shipped me a new EGR valve and I swapped it out but that did not fix it like it did last time... :-(

I have a call in to the dealer but they are closed already so I won't hear anything back until at least Monday... Yay for another beautiful weekend wasted....

Any updates on a resolution? Mine is still a dog in third gear.

I asked my dealer about this and they hadn't heard of any egr problems, but did mention it could be a problem with the hst. But that doesn't apply to all of you. They want to put the tractor on their dyno to measure any power loss

Wound up being a fuel pressure sensor near the EGR valve.. Was reseated and works great now.
