My 3235 with Kohler Command 25 engine has a 4.5 gal tank. I mow 1 acre but with all the trees, shrubs, duck cages etc. it takes a little over 2 hours and uses around 1 gal/hr. I don't know if this is good/bad/indifferent but I run it full throttle. My previous 1450 with a Kohler 1 cylinder was a little easier on gas.
