I saw this LVB25153 creeper gear kit listed & was wondering if any of you guy knew about or had info on it ?

Is it a easily bolted on option ? How does engagement take place etc ?

I have a call into this dealer ......

it says it fits JD 5425 which is a 4cyl with Power Reverser 12spd trans.

I have a 5093E & 5101E which is the same tractor.

I’M NOT HAVING ANY LUCK LOADING PIC

According to parts manual, it appears this would fit your tractor. The kit is very easy to install, at least on an open station tractor. It bolts on right side of transmission housing. a notch is cut out of shift quadrant and a bolt is swapped in top shift cover. Original bolt is longer and prevents shift lever from going into creeper position.

The shorter bolt would let original shifter engage / disengage the creep gear set ?

I just can’t picture how it’d work

Man I would be Absolutely Pumped to have creep option on my 5093E Chicken House Tractor.

I’d probably even do my 5101E too

I guess you could use your 1 2 3 4 gears IN creep mode ?

It does appear to bolt onto trans externally

One dealer mentioned part# RE179398 (whatever this is) was either also needed or superseded the LVB25153.

They’d never sold one, installed one OR had ANY Instructions

I hate to buy this & it not fit my 4cyl 12spd PowerReverser Trans then I’d be stuck with it for a showpiece

That's very neat if you can install the creeper gear set without even have to split the tractor and looks like a straight forward job.

And yes, with the range lever in Creeper, you have all 4 gears to play with and make it even slower.

Keep in mind that creeper gears are not meant to pull hard.

I can’t see a plate on right side of trans where this gearset assy would bolt in ?

I’m just wondering if this only fits the 9spd non PowerReverser trans ..... IDK

There is a removable plate under my gear shifters on bottom underneath.

I removed dog house off trans that you straddle & found a plate on top of trans under the seat track.

This pic shows the creeper gear set assy bolting on right side of trans (like jd110 mentioned) under the cover around both shifters where I can’t see.

A very helpful JD dealer is doing research on this & supposed to be getting back with me ....

My 4cyl PowerReverser trans does NOT HAVE a plate on right side of trans to accept this gearset.

Unless it bolts into the TOP of trans under the seat track bracket
