Mahindra 3560 w 75B BH (3550 vs MX5800)

Would a Kubota L5740 HST best either of these options???

Would there be any downside to the L5740 compared to the mx5800 and 3550?

I'm guessing the L5740 is a used tractor?

Keep in mind, the 3550 has a bare weight of 4900 lbs. The MX5800 has a bare weight of 3700 lbs. Something I've heard many, many times with tractors is you run out of weight before you run out of HP.

So it comes down to what you're doing with the tractor. If you need high PTO power for large implements, the Kubota is probably your best choice. If you're looking for a tractor for loader work and ground engaging actitivies.

Based on what you said you're looking for, the 3550 is the winner in my book. Of course I have a biased opinion because I did the same homework you're doing right now about 10-12 months ago and chose the 3550 over the MX5800 and others.

I got the 75B backhoe with mine so I can not speak to the 65B other than it appears to line up with other brands in performance. The 75B clearly out performed every other brand of backhoe when I purchased mine which was also a contributing factor in buying the 3550.

I need to find out if a dealer would still install the 75B or Bradco equivalent. Can I ask what paid for the 3550 + 75B?

Did you happen to get a 3rd function up front or extra remotes out back?

I've read of people still finding 3550s with 75B backhoes on it. I think the right dealer may do the leg work to get it done for you. Mine certainly had to do some calling around to find all the mounting kit parts for it.

I got a 3rd function kit from Everything Attachments. I did not order extra rear remotes either. The dealer price on both of those official Mahindra parts were outrageously expensive. You'd be better off looking 3rd party. I'd like another 2 sets of rear remotes for extra abilities but I have not pursued it. There was a guy on these forums that sold the kits for a decent price that I'd probably buy from.

@InTheMoHills Handles that Flail just fantastic. I'm always amazed at what I tackle with it. Lots of brush and briars at head height while I'm on the tractor! I have to go slowly going up steep hills since the HST steals a little HP. I would bet that Alamo would be great too.
