Mahindra 4540 4WD
I have a 2018 Mahindra 4540, with the Mahindra 4550=4L loader. One of the loader tubings failed this past weekend. Blew out the side wall of one of the tubing runs that run under the removable protection plate across the front crossmember of the loader. I thought it was 3/8" tubing but I was wrong. It's not 1/2" either, but something in between. I can't find any diagrams online anywhere to even attempt to get a part number. I'm going to call my closest dealer today, to see if they can assist, but does anybody know what size this tubing is? TIA!!

A picture would help considerably.

By tubing I presume you mean hardline... It will be metric, not SAE so measure the OD and get the correct diameter. They are made in India so they aren't SAE.

Yes it is the hardline tubing. Dealership has a diagram but just lists them #1-4. I’m going to take that and compare to the tractor to see if that’ll help identify which one it is. It should. Crazy how much they want for them and of course it’ll have to be ordered. Be nice to figure out the size and build a replacement my self so I can use the tractor.

Reading here about Mahindra and the slow to none parts issues, good luck.

Never had a replacement part issue with my Kubota's. Over 20 years old and all major parts are available and usually next day.

This part isn't common to break. It's a piece of tubing that split on the sidewall. My forks hit the ground while I was travelling forward. Luckily it was dirt and it didn't bend one of my cylinders or the forks. I just have to find the tubing. Dealer can get it but its a little high in price for what it is. However I may have no choice but to order it. Just hope it doesn't take long to get it, once I confirm which part it is on the diagram.

You might be able to replace it with a regular hydraulic hose.

Not as easy as I’d like. It seems to be a metric fitting. I’m going to try my local hydraulic shop to see if they could help. Local Ace Hardware highly recommended them. We shall see.
