Mahindra.....No Drama

Well,,, couple of things...for the first time that I can remember, here in central VA the temps from last Friday till today have not seen a minute over the freezing mark...further, on Sunday and Monday mornings, it was -1 degrees..(I keep the 135 Massey in the "basement" garage for pulling the snow plow)..and the Mahindra 6000 sits in the pole shed..yesterday around 10am, I decided to see if that unit would fire up... it was all the way up to about 20 degrees...I turned the key to "on" to cycle the air heater (direct inject..so the intake air is heated), when it cut off I hit the starter...fired right up...so... again NO DRAMA... hope all are staying warm... regards, BobG in VA

Good for you, we don't have the cold problem in my part of Texas, kinda glad about that also.

This past Sat. morning it was 3 here in north central Tn. but I didn't try to start my tractor. However I have little doubt it would have if I had so wanted to. Just a week or so before it was in the 20's and did need the tractor and I hit the glow plug mode 1 time and started it before the timer quit - on the almost 13 year old Interstate MHP-31 battery in it. My Mahindra has had it's share of problems in 15 years but starting in any conditions hasn't been one of them. I have started it before when it was in the single digits with just 1 cycle of the glow plugs. My tractor has lived it's full life completely unprotected out in the weather too (and looks like it !!).
