Making '06 HPX Diesel Like XUV?

the tires didn't take much power away from the hpx. i sink mine down in the mud till the water and mud is almost coming into the air vent on the clutch enclosure and they keep turning .i run them through a cane field and get them caked with about 4"of mudd and they keep on turning now i do keep it in low gear when doing that kinda mud riding but it has no problem turning a 27"tire. but if i was to do it again i would go with a 26"589 itp it has the same tread debt and it won't rub my 27's rubbed when i first got them till i wore a little bit of them.

There's a different design to the XUV clutches as I understand it they are much more advanced. As for putting a bigger belt on I highly doubt that would work because the belt that it comes with fits pretty snugly.

is your hpx out of warranty ? if so why not just experiment wth it . try different things going with a wider belt might make it bite sooner you never know if you have the money try it thats how things get improved people try stuff and say hey that worked. but you might be onto something with the wider belt.i would have to see both belts sideby side to see the diferense in them.

There was a question on weight between the HPX and XUV. The XUV is nearly 100 pounds heaver. HPX- 1296 pounds. XUV- 1383 pounds.

the extra weight is probably in the tires /and shocks but mainly the tires.
