I've seen numerous lowered height garage doors. . Typically always 6'6". I've never seen anything lower except in a rollup door.
However I certainly wouldn't let a rops keep me from gettng a gc1700 series. I'd point out that putting a gc1720 rops on a gc1705 or gc1715 should work just fine. Please remember that a GC1705 or GC1715 have a bunch of advantages that other brands don't have.

Maybe this is stupid, but can you "wheelie" the tractor through the garage to reduce the rops height? Not fast of course, but maybe using a platform the front wheels go up and down on. Unconventional but if u only need an inch maybe an idea?
