what oil do I use? gonna change it soon, but I don't think mineral oil is still around.it's a 1962 model.

I have a Massey 245 and I am pretty sure I just put the same fluid as my other tractors. I think I had Deere Hy Gard on hand at the time.

IIRC, that is common with the transmission fluid.
I would use a decent generic hydraulic fluid (unless you will be swapping hydraulic powered implements with a newer tractor, then get whatever that needs).

it has a "Bull" hose on it, can lift but gravity lowers it! not a 2 line system. never used it.

I would use a more modern oil if you are planning on using it in the winter. That should be better for cold starts.

went with the mineral oil type. something about my tractor has brass gearing and the modern fluid might damage it. anyway my 3pt will stay up now, no sneaking down!
