I would like to know if anyone here has any
experiance with the Massey Ferguson 400 Series
tractors I would like to hear it.
my boss is looking at the 492 for the farms new use-all tractor
becuse we are a veggie farm we need a tractor with a creeper
transmission for picking, right know we have a IH 666 hydro
and is falling apart I think thats it.

The 400 series is an old style that has been time tested over the last 40 or more years. It does have some nice features such as independent PTO, wet brakes and shuttle shift. They are very economical on fuel and less expensive from a purchase stand point. The parts are readily available and not as high priced as some of the high tech tractors in the same hp range.

theres one vote
if it was me I would buy a deere but there are no good dealers
in the area.
