This problem sort-of existed before my previous post (about the tab breaking off of one of my spools), but since then it's been much worse. I did not take apart the valve body at any point, so I'm not sure what exactly happened with this.
max26 loader control issues - YouTube
I played around with the linkage a little (there's not much to play with there though) to no avail.
If you didn't watch the video, the curl valve on the FEL control has a lot of "slop" in it, in fact, the bulk of movement from the spool is nothing but slop. at the very far limit of curl you get a little resistence, on the dump side of life there's a little more to it, but it's still very slow even at full rpms. I'm not low on hydraulic fluid (I don't think, I checked the other day and it doesn't appear to leak any at the moment.. knock on wood..)
I noticed the back end of the valve body has removable caps, is there anything back inside there that could be used to adjust this out? I'm fairly mechanically inclined (I build my own engines and transmissions) but I don't really want to take a bunch of stuff apart if there's no need.
